Cabbage Beef Soup Recipe

Ingredients
Vegetable oil – 2 tablespoons
Ground beef – 1 pound
1/2 large chopped onion
Chopped cabbage – 5 cups
2 cans (16 ounce) red kidney beans (drained)
2 cups of water
24 ounces of tomato sauce
Four beef bouillon cubes
Ground cumin – 1 1/2 teaspoons
One teaspoon salt
One teaspoon pepper

Directions
Take a large stockpot and over a medium flame, heat the vegetable oil in that. Add in that heated oil onion and ground beef and cook it until the beef becomes browned thoroughly on all sides and crumbles. Drain the fat, and shift beef to a slow cooker. Put in cabbage, water, kidney beans, bouillon, tomato sauce, pepper, cumin and salt. Stir all the ingredients well to dissolve the bouillon, and put a lid on the pot to cover.

Cook the entire mixture on high heat for almost 4 hours or on low heat for around 6 to 8 hours. Stir occasionally in between so that it does not burn. Enjoy the soup when served hot.

This filling and comforting soup just tastes yummy when served hot in a soup bowl. Add paprika and celery for seasoning to add some spice to it. You can also sprinkle some cayenne pepper before serving it. Use tomato or pizza sauce to make it spicier if your kids like it that way.
